'Promotion feels like a natural point to end' - Beth Merrick on retiring from football
Beth Merrick has retired from football after more than 20 years in the game, bringing an end to a memorable career with her childhood club.
Finishing her playing time as a FA WNL Play-Off champion that saw Wolves promoted to the Women’s Super League 2 – and professional football – for the first time in their history, Merrick leaves a lasting legacy in Old Gold and will be remembered as a player who gave her all for the badge throughout her time at the club.
Merrick spoke to Wolves TV in an emotional interview following her decision to end her football career.
